Special Coaching Offer for Winter / Spring 2007 Distance Education Students

As a student enrolled in a WSCLL distance education course for either the Winter or Spring 2007 semesters, you have the unique opportunity to receive up to six 1/2-hour telephone coaching sessions with a volunteer who has successfully completed the Western Seminary coach training program. And at no cost to you!
This offer is made possible because of the partnership between the Center for Lifelong Learning and the Western Seminary coaching program. Together we are able to provide a valuable service for our distance education students while helping the men and women who have completed Western’s core 60-hour coach training program advance toward International Coach Federation (ICF) certification.
How Does This Offer Work?
A growing number of coaching program graduates have
volunteered to coach distance education students at no charge up to a maximum of six 1/2-hour sessions. Once you have submitted your request for coaching form, we will make every effort to match you with a coach. Then, you and your coach mutually determine the telephone meeting schedule that works best for you.
How Do I Begin?
Simply complete the Request for Coaching Form below. We will then contact the coaching program coordinator and, with the information provided, you be matched with a personal coach and WSCLL will be notified. Your coach will contact you and together you will determine the best schedule for your coaching sessions.
At the end of the semester, your coach will provide WSCLL a total of the coaching hours provided. You will then receive an evaluation form by which you can provide feedback and assessment on your coaching experience. It is as easy as that!
IMPORTANT!
Statement of Understanding: This is a referral service only. Western Seminary and the Center for Lifelong Learning make no claims as to expected coaching outcomes, as to the skills of the coach, or concerning the student's suitability for coaching. Moreover...
1. The WSCLL student and coach are each free at any time to terminate the coaching relationship, or to extend it by mutual agreement.
2. This is a non-academic service and will not be part of a student's evaluation or grade. No personal or academic information will be provided to the coach except as submitted on the Request for Coaching Form below or by the Student Being Coached (SBC).
3. All coaching will be conducted by telephone unless approved in advance by the Director of the Western Seminary Coaching Program.
4. This is an opportunity to receive coaching. The coach will not offer academic advising or tutoring, mentoring, discipleship, consultation or other services.
5. The coach and SBC are at all times expected to maintain a professional relationship that is consistent with the policies and practices of Western Seminary, in a manner that honors Christ, and which is consistent with the Code of Ethics of the International Coach Federation (ICF).
