WSCLL Course Options

The Center for Lifelong Learning offers the distance education student more than 60 courses to choose from, in a wide range of disciples and in multiple formats

Consistent with our campus program, we have organized our course options according to their respective division within the academic program of the seminary. You will find links to courses within those three divisions, the Division of Biblical and Theological Studies, the Division of Intercultural Studies, and the Division of Pastoral and Church Ministries in the navigation column to the right of your screen. Please feel free to browse the courses to see the full scope of what we are currently offering, and, indeed, courses that are now in development and which will soon be available for student use.

Course Format Options
Our courses are delivered in one of several available formats. As you browse he following pages, you will note that along with the course descriptions, for your convenience we indicate the format(s) in which a course is available.

CD ROM / DVD ROM Courses
The great majority of our courses are delivered via computer CD ROM or DVD ROM formats. Interaction, assignments and course information are typically accessed from the Internet at our Online Learning Center.

Note: You will have the option of either the CD ROM or DVD ROM formats. If you do not have a DVD ROM drive in your Microsoft Windows-based computer, please request the CD ROM format. Content is the same, though DVD ROM includes the entire course on one DVD ROM rather than the multiple disks required for CD ROM formats.

Audio Courses
Western Seminary offers audio courses developed by the Institute for Theological Studies, a consortium of Christian graduate schools and seminaries, of which Western Seminary is a charter member. These courses are delivered on audio tape, CD ROM, or audio CD, and feature many of the nations finest evangelical scholars. Note: ITS materials are included in your tuition cost, typically a value of more than $100 per course.

Internet Online Learning Center
The Online Learning Center is located on the WSCLL student website, www.wscll.net. This is where you will meet with your instructor, interact with other students, as well as access your course schedule, syllabus, and assignments. It is a powerful tool that brings students and faculty together in a rich and dynamic learning environment.

Note: WSCLL continues to offer several courses on video tape. These courses will only be available for a limited time as we move from the video tape format to CD and DVD ROM systems. While we anticipate that most students will choose to wait for the newer delivery options, we make these courses available for your convenience.
