Course-By-Course Study Option

Students may complete up to 12 credit hours on a course-by-course basis without admittance to the seminary. Western Seminary courses address many of the most important areas of the Christian life and ministry preparation and will help any individual grow in grace and in truth. Christian school teachers in the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) should check with their ACSI offices to ensure that CLL courses will satisfy certification requirements in Bible and professional studies.

We encourage every student, however, who may anticipate pursuing a program at Western Seminary - from an Advanced Studies Certificate to the Master of Divinity degree - to apply for admission as early as possible. This will allow our advisors to provide the best council possible to help you achieve your educational and ministry goals.

Students from other academic institutions who desire to use courses from the Western Seminary Center for Lifelong Learning to meet program requirements at their schools should check with the registrar at the receiving institution to ensure that credits earned at Western will apply toward your program. While Western and the Center for Lifelong Learning are accredited both regionally (Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities) and professionally (Association of Theological Schools), every school reserves the right to accept or reject transfer credits from another institution.
