What is ShareItNow™? ShareItNow™ is a service that allows you to share anything on your desktop to anyone, anywhere, anytime -- spontaneously and seamlessly. Use ShareItNow to conduct training sessions, demonstrate a product, collaborate on a document, host a web tour and more!

In This Workshop, You Will Learn To...
  • Navigate to a specific site on the World Wide Web if you are given a specific URL (Uniform Resource Locator).
  • Use the browser buttons to navigate forward, back, reload / refresh, and print a page / document
  • Navigate the web using hyperlinks, search engines (Google, Yahoo, etc.). Note: Considerable time will be spent on searching the web, particularly using the multiple functions of the Google search engine).
  • Download and save documents, PDF files, graphic images from web sites on the World Wide Web.
  • Create favorite lists and use your browser history functions effectively.
  • Manage security options and control pop-ups.
  • Understand cookies and when to accept them.
  • Check for secure sites on the web.
  • Save / print a complete web page.
  • Empty your system cache and set your default home page.
  • Manage selected advanced setup functions.
  • And time for your questions!
Meet Your Online Instructor...Jim Stewart

Jim Stewart is Director of Distance Education and the Center for Lifelong Learning. Among other duties, formal and informal, Jim has served as Western Seminary's webmaster and the architect of wscll.net since the beginning. He is an avowed technophile, though not for the technology itself, but for what technology now makes possible that was only dreamed of in years past.
